Number one, there is always the possibility that your suspicion may be unfounded. You must consider this problem with a cool head and a calm mind. The very worst thing that you can do at this point is to act on your suspicions in a harsh manner.

Number two, under no circumstances should you blame yourself. If you should gather further information on your situation and find that you are, in fact, the victim of a cheating spouse, you must always remember that your wife or husband has chosen, of their own free will, to turn to someone outside of your relationship for attention. Your spouse’s affair is not your fault.

Number three, you must do your level best to gather as much information about your spouse’s possible unfaithful behavior before you come to a conclusion as to whether or not they’re actually having an affair.
