you got to remember carrie’s like 26 so i’m pretty sure it’s okay for her to drink. And taylor’s underaged (19) so her not drinking is to be expected. At least it’s underaged where I live.
Seriously, she snubbed her fans. She only visited with her fan club for 5 minutes and she was out of there. I will say that Carrie does indeed have a better voice than Taylor – that’s obvious. But a good voice doesn’t guarantee a good show. Taylor is the best entertainer. Fearless was phenomenal! It was better than Carrie, Keith, Kenny, and Rascal Flatt’s tours. She deserved entertainer of the year and Thank God she got it! =)

Unlike Carrie who I quote said “I don’t just drink milk” to Cosmopolitan Magazine, Taylor Swift does not drink. I admire that in a young woman. Plus, Taylor was singed to Big Machine Records when she was 13 as a song writer.
Honestly, I once preferred Carrie to Taylor. That is until Carrie came to my hometown and snubbed her fans. Taylor on the other hand was very humble to her fans when she visited our city last summer. Carrie is snobbish. Taylor all the way! =)
mjdubo5, as for your comment about Taylor being the better performer. Have you ever seen a George Strait concert or a Reba? George Strait stands there and does nothing but sing from his 100’s of # 1 hits because when you have an incredible vocal instrument people come to your concerts to hear that voice. There’s no need for anything else. Same with reba McIntyre.
The first time Taylor tried to promote her music she was turned away. Then after Carrie entered the country music genre, the young people started looking at country music in a whole new way. Then Taylor remarketed herself. So no she didn’t have IDOL she had CARRIE to pave her way.
Carrie wrote So Small from her first album and it went #1, plus she wrote 7 of the songs on her new album. 3 of the songs on the new one in less than a month are heading to # 1. Taylor’s not really country she’s pop. The country lyrics she writes she turns to pop when she sings them.
In comparison. Carrie is just as wonderful of a role model, extremely humble, and always classy. She writes music every bit as well as Taylor and in my opinion more rounded, she is a wonderful humanitarian, every one of her singles has gone to #1 in the last 5 yrs and her new album Play On knocked Taylor out of the #1 spot. Her voice blows Taylor out of the water. Where was it that Taylor fits in that same league?
Taylor Swift made it on her own…WITHOUT American Idol. Carrie has the better voice, but Taylor has written some amazing country songs. Plus, I’ve seen them both in concert. Carrie is about as boring as it gets, but Taylor blows audiences away. Vocal range isn’t everything when it comes to being a great performer. Sorry.
I doubt Carrie could write all of her songs and have them all be #1 hits either.
But Carrie’s songs can’t compare to Taylor’s…and Taylor is a great role model for kids. She has a mediocre voice, but to say that she can’t compare is BS.
Taylor swift isn’t even in the same league as Carrie and never will be. She always sings off key iive and her voice can’t compare.
