You’re so cool, love your personality and agree with most of what you said, but how can you not like the Chinese dance, Cheng and Jiang were great.
I love how you fawn about Shawn’s double-twisting double back, and then you say you are not a fan of Chinese tumbling. CHENG FEI! She has probably the best Silivas I’ve ever seen.
Also, if you want to talk rip-off in the bars final, talk Yang Yilin.
Sanrda Izbasa’s routine had an A score of 6.5, which was higher than either Shawn’s or Nastia’s. In addition to her routine being more difficult, she had a better execution score than Shawn. Sandra won FX fair and square (although if Cheng Fei hadn’t been so rattled from vault, I think she could have put up a gold-medal-winning floor exercise).
gymnastics is also my passion!!!! and no you are not over reacting! you are under reacting!!!!! to me…
I’m glad someone was as furious and fired up as I was!
IZBASA stuck her routine.did you see the stuck landings.izbasa deserved gold.
You can’t say Fei deserved gold ! An other day maybe. But the final was not unfair. She fells so she’s got a deduction, and she lose the gold medal. That’s logical.
argg, everything was fair.
You dont make sense to me XD
sandra izbasa deserved the floor title!!
I do agree with you on the vault finals. Fei had 2 chances at Gold, and she made unfortunate errors. I feel the same with Pavlova, who was most definitely cheated during the vault. They could have overlooked her tiny mistake. Floor, however, I gotta admit Izbasa looked best. Shawn and Nastia both lacked the flair she had that night. Just because gymnastics is evolving doesn’t mean every gymnast needs to mount with a G skill. It takes away the beauty
i agree with you
yeah she’s only been back in the gym for a couple of months. it will take a while to get back to where she was and it might be like carly patterson where she decides one olympics was enough
they should bring the perfect 10 back things were more fair back then but look at the new scoring system they have created for gymnastics today its pointless!!!! like on floor if they take a step on floor on their tumbling passes they will get deducted WTF!!! i understand putting the line in the middle of the vault mat that will make vaults look more spectacular but floor has changed alot!!!
well they can’t award gold medals for people who just fall that would be a bit unfair wouldn’t it ?
yeah, but she’s kinda starting to get out of shape now… have you watched the visa games? (they’re today)
1. Cheng fei totally deserved gold, she fell, do you know how she feels? She fell on floor and vault, her 2 chances for gold… and she worked 4 years for it, right now, even mentioning the olympics brings tears. if you have respect, then you would know how she feels.
2. yang yilin was underscored, but nastia shouldn’t get gold. there were 2 routines better than hers…
3. in a more fair world, then Cheng Fei would win both vault and floor… and Yang Yilin bars, with he kexin second.
I can’t wait for Nastia to come back in 2012 for the London Olympics (she hinted at a comeback on her website in a blog post, and she is back in competition with the ViSA Championships coming up). If she could win the all-around again or any gold for that matter as well as 4 or 5 total medals in London 2012, she could be considered the greatest woman gymnast of all time in my opinion!!!
I felt sorry for Nastia and I think there should be co-champions but i don’t think He Kexin won because the judges were biased for the Chinese…many experts like Bart Conner think Yang Yillin was underscored but Bela went all crazy and it seem like that was.
The same tiebreaker rules have been in place before Beijing…
Four HUGE errors by the judges in Beijing: 1. giving Cheng Fei higher scores in vault finals than Alicia Sacramone when Fei FELL ON HER FUCKING KNEES. 2. awarding the Romanian gymnast with the floor exercise gold when Shawn Johnson performed a better overall routine (I admit, this judging error is just my opinion). 3. Of course, Nastia was ripped off completely in the uneven bars finals (see my 4 comments below for clarification) and should’ve gotten a gold medal.
1. He Kexin is 14 and shouldn’t have even been allowed to compete. 2. He Kexin had more visible errors than Nastia (pointed out by the commmentator Tim something), SO THERE SHOULDN”T HAVE EVEN BEEN A TIEBREAKER. 3. Having a tiebreaker at all is unfair and lacking integrity (if they both deserve it, then they should both fucking get gold medals!!)
4. The tiebreaker system does not in any way reward the gymnast with the better routine. How is one gymnast better because their second lowest execution score is lower than the other girl’s second lowest execution score?! A full year after the olympics, I still cannot give up the fact that THE INTERNATIONAL JUDGES IN THE OLYMPICS WERE OUTRAGEOUSLY UNFAIR AND MADE COUNTLESS ERRORS THAT WERE NOT FAIR TO THE GYMNASTS WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINING FOR 10+ YEARS ONLY TO HAVE THEIR ROUTINES UNFAIRLY JUDGED
I honesty think that the new scoring system is so much better than the older system.
Buck, I love you for loving gymnastics.
And I love you for NOT thinking, that Alicia took the chance for the USA to win the gold medal in the team finals. You’re great, keep it up.
yeah I see what you mean. Nastia and Yang Yilin were underscored because both did well in their landings but I personally feel He Kexin was overscored. I mean, look at the moment she shoots up to the high bar from the low one!!! Such a dead swing (is that what you call it?) and the other two had such flowing movement. However, I feel that the Chinese men’s team did very well, winning seven out of eight possible golds. Oh well, never mind! =)
